Hello! My name is Fumie. Having served as an instructor for four years and welcoming guests from diverse countries, I genuinely enjoy engaging with people from around the world. In fact, I have also been a host mother to exchange students who developed a deep love for Japanese culture and cuisine.
Inspired by their enthusiasm, I hope to extend the same experience to my guests. I eagerly look forward to meeting wonderful individuals who share a similar passion. It brings me great joy to learn that after each class, guests take delight in creating both beautiful and delicious Nerikiri.
It was a very enjoyable experience, Fumie was very accommodating as the host and it was fun having conversations with her. Her method of teaching if very clear and easy to follow.
Even with my chubby fingers, I still managed to make beautiful nerikiri. Learning ochakai culture from a real Japanese is also very interesting. Its a long lasting tradition that still continues to this day and age. Thank you Fumie, thank you nagoyaisnotboring team for providing the opportunity.
5 Star Experience! The activity itself was fun and interesting, giving us an enjoyable way to learn more about Japanese culture. Fumie-san, the teacher and host, is simply WONDERFUL. She prepared everything so well, so meticulously, and with so much care. Not only did she prepare the ingredients well, she also made us nice gifts to take home.
I highly recommend this activity and this teacher. My whole family of 4 loved it and at the end of the day, we felt so happy to have met Fumie-san! This was an awesome experience.
I had a wonderful time making traditional Japanese sweets. Matcha tea ceremony was also educational and delicious! It was a very pleasant experience and i would highly recommend attending this class!
We were connected with a Japanese host named Fumie who was absolutely lovely and very skillful. We greatly enjoyed our time! She also went out of her way to help us with our dinner plans afterwards. We felt very welcomed and we are so glad we booked our experience!
