Osu Kannon Antique Market
The antique market at Osu Kannon Temple is one of the most popular markets of its kind in Nagoya. Around 80 stalls are set up selling second-hand clothing like Kimono and also western clothes, tableware including beautiful western style teacups and Japanese style tea bowls.
You will find that tourists and locals alike frequent this market and it is a lot of fun to watch them interact with the sellers around the stalls in pursuit of a bargain.
This popular market is held every 18th and 28th of the month, from morning until evening around the Osu Kannon temple.
Osu Kannon itself is known as a very popular shopping destination. Check it out while exploring the Osu Shopping Streets.

Higashi Betsuin Morning Market
It began in 2013 and has continued to grow, now holding three separate markets every month on the 8th, 18th, and 28th. It is a bustling morning market selling handicrafts like jewelry, clothes, and decorations as well as countless food items such as freshly baked bread, cakes, cookies, and delicious lunch options. The market stalls change depending on the day, so even if you went three times in the same month, you’d find lots of different stalls to visit.
Hundreds of stalls are spread around the temple grounds and there is something fascinating to discover at every one.
Higashi Betsuin Morning Market (東別院暮らしの朝市)
Date and Time: 8th, 18th, and 28th each month, 10:00 – 14:00.

Nayabashi Night Market
The Nayabashi Night Market is the perfect place to visit after a long day of sightseeing. Around 40 stalls greet you with delicious food both local and foreign like sausages, smoked cheese, popcorn, and freshly baked pizza along with a variety of beverages.
The majority of stalls sell food in one form or another, but there are also a couple of stalls selling handmade items like jewelry, handbags, and hats.
The market is located along the west side of the Hori River (which connects Nagoya Castle with the port) between Nayabashi Bridge and Nishikibashi Bridge. It takes place on the 4th Friday of each month starting from 16:00 and ending at 21:00.

Nittaiji Temple Market “Kobo Ennichi”
On the street leading from Kakuozan Station to Nittaiji Temple, a large number of stalls are set up every month on the 21st. These stalls sell everything from delicious food to Bonsai trees, along with clothing and art.
It is the perfect place to buy fresh and cheap fruit and vegetables as well.

Koshoji Temple Ennichi
Held on the 5th and 13th day of each month a temple fair is held at the Koshoji Temple in Yagoto. This is a very traditional kind of Ennichi with a vast number of stalls all around the temple grounds.

Yagoto Koshoji Marche
Also held at Koshoji Temple is a monthly market with booths selling handicrafts, foods, as well as fresh vegetables.
The focus of this market is fresh vegetables grown without pesticides, homemade bread, and cakes without any additives and preservatives, as well as handmade items made from wood, fabric, and ceramics.
This market is held on the 21st of each month.
Yagoto Koshoji Marche (家事興正寺マルシェ)

Kanayama Marche
A weekend market is held on the 3rd weekend of each month on the south side of Kanayama Station.
The focus here is on agricultural products and convenience food. Make sure you go on an empty stomach and try some delicious food!

Tsuitachi Ichi Marche
Another market held at the south exit of Kanayama Station is the Tsuitachi Ichi, celebrating the first day of the month (Tsuitachi in Japanese).
The concept is the same for both Kanayama markets so check it out on either the first day or the 3rd weekend of each month.

Jiyugaoka Plaza Marche
This market in Jiyugaoka was created to support the local community. Stalls offer freshly-made foods like sweets and confectionery, as well as handcrafted items such as accessories.
The Jiyugaoka Plaza Marche is held on the second Saturday of the month from 10:00 to 16:00 on the east side of Jiyugaoka Station.

Meijo Park Tonarino Marche
A colorful market that is held on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at the Meijo Park just north of Nagoya Castle.
This market has between 30 and 40 stalls, with a focus on restaurant cars but you will also find handmade crafts and fashion here. It is located next to the Tonarino shopping mall. The marketplace also holds special events now and again, so who knows what to expect when visiting!

Mammoth Flea Market Z
This gigantic flea market is held once a year in Nagoya. It is one of the biggest markets of its kind in Japan and a true heaven for bargain hunters.
With over 1,500 sellers it truly is a mammoth of a flea market. You can easily spend all day at this market, with a food corner and food trucks as well as a stage with different forms of entertainment.
This flea market has an entry fee of 1,100 yen.

Creators Market
This big market of art and creativity is held twice a year in June and November in Nagoya’s Minato ward. It is one of the biggest markets of its kind in the Tokai area and a fount of inspiration for design lovers.
Creators and designers from all over Japan gather over two days in more than 2,000 booths installed over two large pavilions.
There is a wide range of genres like illustration, hand-made accessories and jewelry, interior design, crafts, furniture, art, and photography.
There is also live painting, art exhibitions and a food court with over 40 types of food in food stands and kitchen cars.
This market has an entry fee of 1000 yen for a 1-day ticket and 1,800 yen for a 2-day ticket. Buying tickets in advance online is slightly cheaper.
Creators Market (クリエーターズマーケット)
Date and Time: 17th and 18th of June and 10th and 11th of December 2023
